GRE:
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is the requisite examination for all graduate (MS/MBA) and doctoral programs, except Law and Clinical Medicine for most of the American/ Canadian graduate schools. It is administered in English by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) on behalf of the GRE Board. It is a mandatory pre-requisite for admissions, program evaluation, and selection of fellowship recipients in most American/Canadian universities.The GRE is section Adaptive Test.
More importantly, GRE scores form an important basis on which financial aid is disbursed in these universities.
The new GRE is composed of three parts - Verbal, Quantitative, and Essay Writing sections. The new GRE measures Verbal, Quantitative, and Essay Writing skills acquired and honed over a period of time and that are not related to any specific field of study. The verbal and Quantitative Sections contain multiple-choice questions.
